well, while brittish comedies seem to be popular topic, how about Black adder fans. are there any on the zone?
I have all the seasons and the specials. and how many of you have seen the deleted episode from the first season?
My favourite seasons are 2 and 4.
2 because it had the queen who was fantastic. and 4 because, unlike the others, it tried to make a valid point.
It was actually filmed inside a trench that had been used in world war 1.
the best episode to me is Money from season 2. it was just so much more funny than most.
the ending of season 4 was profound and realistic. that's why i like it.
So, how about you guys?

hmmm, i could never get into the first series. he didn't seem himself. he was more stupid, and baldrick and percy seemed more intelegent than him, and that seems wrong.

Hmm but his character was still evolving and that was possibly the writers having a joke on the audience.

hmmmmm, could be...and the ending of season 1 was quite good, but his charictor was far more developed in seasons 2, 3, and 4, but, i guess thatt's to be expected. i'd love to get into the mind of Ben Felton when he was writing some of those episodes.

Ben Felton? Erm, yeah... And as much as I love queen Lizzy, Regent Prince George from the third is just too fantastic.

I do love the series where he became thoroughlly evil and dispicable, you could really see the wily cunning Blackadder, beginning to emrge.

hehe, christmas carol is great if you want to see him at his utter worst...although, the intolerably nice and sweet black adder is almost as bad.

Yeah. black Adder is good. I don't own any of the DVDs yet but I've seen quite a bit. Black Adder in time was fantastic!

It's called back and forth, and yes, it was fantastic, I loved Stevan Fry reading latin and the multiple Darlings.
It was cool to see black adder in all those different situations.

Back and forth. Oh, yes! With Colin Firth getting punched, and Queeny going gaga over mints, and the romans! And Rick Mayer and Kate Moss! And the best ending ever!

hmmmm, not sure i liked the ending as much...but the bit about robin hood was classic and queenie is adorable in any context!

But but but, Baldrick is Prime Minister! Wheeee! And the history-special soundtrack is so perfect. And yes. Steven Fry! We're just getting the first run of Absolute Power now, and I'd forgotten how utterly brilliant Steven Fry is. Also, I just made the connection the other day, that Hugh Lorry is Daling. Sort of the polar opposite to his current character, House. Anyway, that amused me.

Oh, and, "Go forth! and bring back more, minty things! Or I shall crush your skull like an egg!", is sort of a household phrase round here. Hehe.
